Cover Her With the Scent of Trees: The Elegant Edge of Reclamation

I share a new poem gifted to me by the Mistress of Longing entitled “Cover Her With the Scent of Trees.” I also share and unpack the following ideas:

“Longing is the practice of love.”

You are so much more than you know. You are.

The reclamation of who we already are and who we have always been. 

Taking it all off and soaking in the sacredness of our truth. Creating ritual.

The Great Call Back—a practice of devotion—summoning all of our parts—any parts of us that we have lost along the way—they long for and belong to us. This is our sovereign right and will cover us in blessing and infuse us with radiant restoration and empowerment.

We get to live from a place of deep commitment to our wholeness.

You are worth investing in.

Reaching for a guide in the darkness is a practice of great strength, love, and confidence.

All of you is whole, holy, and good. All of you. 

Love is a longing for union, communion, and bearing witness to our totality. We are expansive beings and each moment is an opportunity for us to choose the elegant edge of lifting ourselves into softness, wholeness, and belonging.

A love story within a love story within a love story. The poem “Cover Her With the Scent of Trees” is a love story about the woman I love being held within the love story of my own completeness, held by something far greater—Her.

Individual reclamation leads to collective reclamation, integrity, healing, compassion, and more love.

Honoring the seasons of change as a pivot point to gathering what is rightfully ours.

Relationship and community are touchstones to the Great Call Back. Your heart space is a sacred gathering place.

The importance of knowing and feeling our own individual calling and how longing can lead us to, strengthen, and support that.

Being nourished by all of the love stories that we are.
